New Coomera School to Open in 2019
Gold Coast’s fastest growing area, Coomera, is set to open a new State Primary School in 2019.
The Labor Government has announced that a $32 million budget has been allocated to education infrastructure on the Coast in 2017-18.
Nearly $12 million will go to the new school in Coomera.
Construction will start next year and will open in 2019. This is a welcome news to parents and students alike as classrooms are currently packed. all kinds of investment directed towards education is of the essence.
An extra $950 million is allocate for school infrastructure across Queensland while $25.6 million will be spen on the foreign student International Education and Training Strategy.
Other education infrastructure projects in the Gold Coast include the completion of the fourth state of Pimpama State Secondary College ($5.6 million), hall and classrooms at Pimpama State School ($4.5 million), classrooms and building at Southport Special School ($4.5 million), classrooms in Caningeraba State School Bluewaters ($4.4 million), classrooms at Tamborine Mountain State High School ($1.2 million).
