How is Pimpama Dealing with Construction Boom?
One of the remaining rural townships in the northern corridor, Pimpama could very well soon be the city’s major hotspot with a roster of residential, retail, sport and leisure developments breaking ground and with several more in the line up for unveiling.
Pimpama’s development is surely coming at great speed as developers realise the area’s potentials, with the region being recognised as the nation’s fastest-growing area.
Often, in places that experience rapid growth like this, there is an increased need for infrastructure and facilities. Green spaces and community facilities are often lacking in these places. And whilst the council and government are indeed investing in the area still, delays in getting these projects off the ground often means that people will have to wait.
Developments are coming in rocket speed has greatly benefitted the building industry as many businesses have grown quickly, seeing annual growth of between 30 and 40 per cent. However, not all builders have been so lucky, with a shortage in tradies being one of the reasons.
Then there is the issue of traffic bottlenecks. With more people choosing to live in the northern corridor and businesses are subsequently moving in, the population is expected to more than double in the next five years. The need wore road upgrades becomes greater than ever.
