Australia’s Top Housing Hotspot: Pimpama, Gold Coast
While house prices may be soaring in Sydney and Melbourne, Pimpama is currently the nation’s fastest growing area according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics and is the top housing hotspot in Australia to date. Nationally, an area would qualify as a hotpot with a population growth of over 1.4% of the national average during 2015/2016 and at least $150 million worth of approved residential building.
With the culmination of the second stage of the Gold Coast Light Rail and house prices being relatively more affordable than in central Gold Coast, it’s no wonder more and more people are choosing to purchase a home in Pimpama and the neighboring suburbs.
In second place comes Cobbitty Leppington in Sydney, Palmerston South in the Northern Territory comes in third with Riverstone in Marsden Park, NSW coming in fourth and the suburbs of Harrisdale, Forrestdale and Piara Waters in Western Australia in Fifth.
The fact is, there are numerous housing hotspots scattered about regional Australia and housing activity is no longer just limited within major capital cities. This looks to be a good sign especially since in this regard, the housing industry is pivotal in stimulating economic activity, employment and development.
