Council Processing 3 Large Developments

Gold Coast City Council The Gold Coast City Council is currently processing 3 large developments for the Coomera District including Norm Rix’s PitStop Development on Days Road, a Gold Coast City Council community hub and a 62 Lot Residential Development at Karingal Drive in Pimpama.

The first two commercial projects have the potential to add nearly 500 jobs to the area which is desperately needed as the area is suffering with high unemployment. Figures released from the Australian Bureau of Statistics in February showed the Northern Gold Coast has Australia’s highest unemployment rate in the country at 13.2 per cent which is significatly higher than the Gold Coast (8.1%) and the country (4.9%).
